It was round about a year ago that Arsenal "The Invinceables" left town with their tails between their legs after being outfought, outplayed and outclassed by a United team hungry to prove a point. The 2-0 result hit Arsenal hard. Only this week I was reading comments from their former captain Patrick Vieira, which went along the lines of..."Rooney definately dived to win that penalty, I couldn't understand why an Englishman would do this, why cheat?" I was stood in the Stretford End and had a clear view of the incident and I can say without doubt that Sol Campbell caught Wayne Rooney's knee and the award of a penalty was correct. That Vieira should accuse Rooney of being a cheat is astounding. The same Vieira who flew through the air with the greatest of ease at Anfield when there wasn't a player within 5 yards of him. Is the guy trying to wind us up or what? Maybe he feels safe in his new surrounds of Turin, far away from Keane, Rooney et al. Lets just hope we draw Juve some time this season.
Last week the new emperors rolled into town. Chelsea should have been confident of taking all the points from a struggling, injury-hit United, but just like "The Invinceables" of a year previous they left town with fuck all. The atmosphere at the game was fantastic and hopefully United will go from strength to strength over the coming winter months whilst Chelsea, like Arsenal, crumble.
